Ceremony Award

On Saturday, November 17 2007, Abake DeRosa was recognized at the first annual “Award de la femme Africaine Entrepreneur” presented by the Thierroux Entertainment Group in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Besides reaching admirable success in the lending industry, Abake took the initiative to create an organization focusing on creating a brighter world for todays children.

For this action she was named African Business Women of 2007. “I hope that my actions will encourage others to take similar action in a positive direction”. Abake's Foundation is honored to have our Founder and President Awarded.

Every One Dollar Campaign

What can one dollar really buy you these days? Thanks to Abake’s Foundation a dollar is all it takes to feed a starving family. Millions of children in Africa are without food, without homes, and often, without hope.

They are born into a world of conflict and instability, robbed of any opportunity for a future because of stifling economic conditions. In May we distributed rice to impoverished families in Benin, obtained micro-loans for working mothers, and met with government officials to improve cooperation.

Now we need your help to continue our efforts. One dollar will go a long way, but only if enough people donate. Everyone who has a dollar to give can become part of this historical campaign. Talk to your family, friends, and coworkers. Talk to your local community.

Email or post links to the Abake’s Foundation website. Tell everyone, because we need “every one” to turn the page on poverty in Africa. One dollar can’t get you much these days. But you can still buy a priceless gift for the people of Benin: hope.
